MY TOP 7 FAV AT HOME WORKOUTS

Staying active and working out is so important to me! I was a dancer for 14 years so being active was a big part of my life and now that I no longer dance I have to put in a little more effort to keep my body moving! I have always preferred working out at home over the gym, but since becoming a new Mom I don't have same luxury of running to the gym anytime I want! Today I'm sharing my top 7 favorite at home workouts! There's a few of my go-to workouts I've been loving for years and some new ones I've recently discovered!

30-Minute Cardio Dance and Yoga Hybrid Take Flight//

This is one of my fav workouts right now! It's such a fun mix of dance and yoga and really makes you sweat! Plus the trainer is amazing and so inspiring! She makes me want to jump and get my body moving! So not only do I just get a great workout, but I also get a little inspirational pick-me-up too!


45-Minute Workout From Selena Gomez's Trainer to Tone and Sculpt Your Entire Body//

This workout is intense and will leave you sore for days! I love this workout because it incorporates a lot of new moves I've never seem before, which keeps it fun and fresh while also bringing on the burn!


This Full-Body Barre Workout Keeps You Moving While You Sculpt//

Growing up I was a dancer so this barre workout is right up my ally! I love the combination of dance, pilates, & yoga, it sculpts and stretches your body! The routine and music makes me feel like I'm right back in dance class!


10 MINUTE BOLLYWOOD DANCE WORKOUT//

On those days I'm short on time I'll do this fun bollywood inspired dance workout! It is seriously so much fun and gets your body moving! The first time I did this workout I was questioning if I missed my calling as a bollywood dancer!


Feel-Good, Feel-Strong Yoga//

If you love yoga but are looking for something with a bit more burn, this workout is for you! This yoga routine gets your heart pumping and muscles working! It will leave your body feeling strong and sore!


30 MINUTE SELENA GOMEZ WORKOUT//

This is a go to workout for me! It gets the arms and the booty burning, but is still low impact! Great for those days when your not in the mood to jump around!


Killer 30-Minute Cardio-Boxing and Core Workout//

I am definitely not the boxing type, but I love this workout because it makes me feel strong and challenges my body in a new way!

HOMEMADE CINNAMON VANILLA LATTE

Coffee is one of my favorite things in this world! I love the smell, I love the taste, hot or iced, I could drink it all day long! Unfortunately...I'm not a cheap coffee drink. I love my Starbucks and coffeehouse lattes... so gas station coffee doesn't quite cut it for me (thanks mom)! The problems is..my bank account doesn't agree with my high end taste in coffee! I've had to experiment a bit to find that perfect homemade latte that taste like it came straight from a coffeehouse! After many...many attempts I have found the one who my soul loves, the perfect homemade cinnamon vanilla latte! It's the perfect mix of cinnamon and sweet vanilla and is as creamy as can be (just the way I like it) and you can make it right in your own kitchen for a fraction of the cost of your fav Starbucks drink!

 

RECIPE:

  • 8oz. of your favorite hot coffee.
  • 1/2 cup of half & half.
  • 2 Tablespoons of Torani french vanilla syrup (you can get it at Walmart).
  • A dash of cinnamon.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Brew 8oz. of your favorite coffee. I use Starbucks house blend k-cups and brew on extra strong in my keurig.
  • Froth half & half and cinnamon together in milk frother. If you don't have a milk frother then you can warm up the creamer in microwave and mix it in your blender till frothed.
  • Add vanilla syrup to coffee and stir together.
  • Pour your frothed milk over coffee, stir, and enjoy!

MY FAVORITE WAYS TO MAKE A HOUSE FEEL LIKE HOME

Everyone wants a place to call home, somewhere they can unwind and enjoy! Whether you just moved  into your own apartment, bought a new house, have lived in the same house for year, or maybe your living in a place that isn't your own, and you want to bring that "welcome home" feel into your space!! Here are favorite tips and ideas to make your house/space feel homey and welcoming!!


IT STARTS AT THE FRONT DOOR//

Your front door is the first thing you and your guest see when they come to your home! A front porch says a lot about a house in my opinion. Its the first impression to your whole home! I want my front porch to be inviting, I want it to say "welcome home" to everyone that steps inside!! Living in an apartment myself I don't exactly have a huge front porch to decorate, but I still love to add a wreath, a welcoming door mat, and beautiful flower or plants! I love the way it really sets apart our apartment from all the rest and adds such a personal feel!

 

THROW PILLOWS//

Throw pillows are my favorite ways to spice up a room!! I really feel that they make a space cozy and inviting! There're so many different patterns and designs to choose from that can really make a statement in anyroom! My husband thinks I am the crazy throw pillow lady because when we got married I insisted on having 9 pillows on our bed..true story!!


FLORAL'S & GREENERY//

I love to add some kind of flower or greenery in every room to brighten up the space! My first choice is to of course use real flowers and plants, but depending on the season and what my local grocery store has I tend to have a mixture of real and fake floral's! 

PERSONAL PICTURES//

Personal photos and pictures are my favorite way to really personalize my space and really make it feel like home! There's something so comforting and inviting walking into a home filled with personal photos of your family, friends, or even your dog!

NEW YEAR, BEST ME!!!

HAPPY 2018 EVERYONE!!! Can anyone else hardly believe its already the New Year again?? It seriously feels like we were just celebrating 2017! This past year feels like it flew by!  The years just seem to keep getting shorter and shorter!  Especially now that I'm a Mom!! My whole life people have always told me it goes by in a blink of an eye...and they were right! I can't believe how fast my baby boy is growing!! it seems like he gets bigger & bigger & learns something new everyday!! It's seriously so sad to me that he'll never be a teeny tiny newborn again!  Life goes by so fast and its so easy to miss out on the things that God has for you and your family!!!

This year i really want to focus on bettering myself and my family!! I want to be the best me that I can be so that I can pour into my family and those around me! Here are three things I'm focusing  on in 2018!!

 

1/ GIVE EACH DAY TO GOD

First things first, give each day to God!! If I'm not going to God and giving him my first moments & counting on him to fill me up each day, how am I going to pour into others?? If I am running dry I have nothing to give my husband and baby boy!! For me to be my best self and give my family everything I have to offer, I have to be going to God & counting on him to fill me with his spirit and his grace daily! I love the First Five app by Proverbs 31 woman!! It helps me to give those first moments to God by giving me a little devotion to read each day, and the app is so easy to use!!!

 

2/ CHOOSE POSITIVITY

I believe positivity is 100% a choice! There is so much negativity in the world today, and I don't know about you...but  I don't want to be apart of it!!! No one enjoys being around a debbie downer, right?? I love being around people that lift me up and have a positive outlook on life, they,re like a breath of fresh air!! I truly believe that choosing positivity is one of the best steps you can take to better yourself & those around you!!! So lets sprinkle positivity everywhere we go this New Year!!!

 

3/ FEAR HAS NO PLACE

I'm deciding that this year, and every year to come, fear has no place!!! This is one of my biggest struggles! Whether it's fear of failing, being afraid of what others think, or fearful of a situation, it always it always seems to be the number one thing that holds me back!! Fear consumes so much of our lives!!! When I let fear enter my heart,it not only  keeps me from reaching my goals...but it keeps me from from living out God's calling on my life!!! So i'm leaving fear behind this year!!!
